THUM - OEM

Temperature Humidity USB Monitor

This is a new version of the THUM that is capable of having up to 3 external sensors connected. The THUM-OEM is a true USB device to monitor temperature and relative humidity of interior living, working, and storage spaces. The THUM-OEM is ideal for kiosks, point of sale - POS, industrial control applications, and OEM equipment integration - wherever accurate and reliable monitoring is required.

The USB interface makes this sensor easy to install on any computer running Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, 2003 Server. By using the Application Program Interface (API), the THUM monitoring capabilities can be easily integrated into other software. This API is done through a Windows DLL (Dynamic Link Library). Applications can include kiosk/ATM monitoring, integration into automated equipment, or server room monitoring. Up to 3 external sensors can be plugged into a single THUM-OEM making it an economical way to monitor several different conditions. Monitoring the temperature inside a kiosk or other equipment can save costly downtime due to premature equipment failure.

The external switch can be used to detect a physical status, such as if a door has been opened. A proximity sensor can be used to detect if someone approaches or leaves a kiosk which can start a sequence of events. A proximity sensor can also be used to detect the level of dispensed items remaining.

External Sensors available:

	External switch - use our switch or your own to detect things such as a door being opened.
	Infrared proximity sensor - detect the presence of an object within 3 cm to 30 cm

	Ultrasonic proximity sensor - detect the presence of an object within 1 inch to 4 feet. This sensor provides a linear output so it can be used to detect approximate distance also.
	External temperature sensor - this sensor can be added to detect the temperature in a second location, such as the temperature outside of a kiosk.
